McMillan Warner Mutual Insurance Company is a policyholder-owned, domestic, non-assessable mutual insurance company. Our mission is simple: provide premier services and products for the benefit of our policy members to maintain continued profitable growth.

Safety consultants
Our experienced Loss Control Department conducts property surveys on all new and renewal risks, helping clients control their losses through risk detection and prevention.

Our History
More than 125 years of keeping promises
- 1898 — McMillan Grange Mutual Fire Insurance Company is organized on May 28. A board of nine members elects a President, Vice President, and Secretary-Treasurer, and the first fire insurance policies are written on August 15.
- 1933 — A reinsurance program is voted in on April 12, eliminating the early policyholder assessment program.
- 1957 — Policyholders vote to insure against windstorm and hail losses.
- 1962 — The board approves writing farm blanket coverage; many special coverages follow.
- 1969 — The company becomes McMillan Mutual Insurance Company, and a new office building opens in Marshfield — the same building we use today.
- 1982 — Merger with Warner Mutual Insurance Company on April 30 creates McMillan Warner Mutual Insurance Company.
- 2000 — Conversion from a Town Mutual to a Domestic Mutual Insurance Company on January 1.
- 2005 — Merger with Lindina Town Mutual of Mauston forms The Lindina Insurance Agency, a wholly owned subsidiary.
- 2017 — Merger with Calumet Equity Mutual Insurance Company of New Holstein on October 1.
Giving Back
Scholarship Program
Each year, our Board of Directors awards $1,000 scholarships to selected graduating high school seniors whose parents or guardians have held a McMillan Warner Mutual policy for at least one year. Completed applications must be received or postmarked by March 1; recipients are notified by March 10.
